      hi all-and help!!

   will someone please help somebody 

distressed over these dewy new 1541 

alternative drives? the msd gets lots

of reviews and leaves the concorde in

 the shadows, but tis the latter that 

seems to get all the compuserve raves!

   i am particularly fretful of the

 great god compatibility, as i gather 

most of my 1541 softywear simply won't 

play on any non-1541 dos! any aid 

and crystal clarification shall be 

cheerfully received to help me out 

of this muddle!

hi mikey,

   the problems might not be with

commodore. i know of a few people

who have returned c-64's after as

much as a year for refunds or exchange.

this is after they broke down after

some use. some places (i suspect

crazy eddy) just put these bad machines

back in stock for some unsuspecting

sucker. i just got a new keyboard in

the past few weeks because my old one

was 'forgetting' its rom. the first

machine i got just did not do anything.

i had to return that one and get 

another.  

  well as long as you got one that

works, you should be safe for another

year.
